I like to understand why we’re building something before I start designing it. If the problem isn’t clear yet, I slow things down and ask questions until it is.

I’m direct about what I think, and I don’t sugarcoat things. I expect the same honesty from the people I work with, and I’m fine when someone is direct with me.

I didn’t know any of the fields I’ve worked in when I started. I ask questions, learn fast, and work out how things run on my own.

I was the only designer on most of my teams, so I’m used to making decisions without a clear answer.

I keep choosing early-stage startups because I enjoy being in situations where I don’t have everything figured out. That’s where I learn the most, and it’s how I approach most things in life too.

I do my best work with ambitious people, challenging problems, and a high level of trust. Those things matter more to me than the size or scale of a company. I want the people I work with to feel we made difficult problems easier to solve together.
